Subject: A New Week....
Well, ready or not, a new week is here. Oh how I hate Monday mornings :( But, make it a good one, and remember....only 5 days till the weekend :)
A hug will make you "aahh"
A hug will make you "oohh"
A hug will make you feel great.
A hug lightens up your day
A hug throws away your loads
A hug strengthens your ties
A hug makes you feel important.
A hug is harmless
Stop! Take a break!
It only takes a little of our time
Why not share a hug?
We all need a hug, don't we?

In my heart I wonder
why it so often seems to be
I can never say the things
that really mean the most to me.
I wonder why it seems
that when I find the words at last,
The perfect time for saying them
has long since passed...

I've yet to meet an absolute perfectionist
whose life was filled with inner peace.
The need for perfection and the desire for
inner tranquility conflict with each other.
Whenever we are attached to having something
a certain way, better than it already is,
we are, almost by definition, engaged in a
losing battle. Rather than being content
and grateful for what we have, we are
focused on what's wrong with something
and our need to fix it. When we are zeroed
in on what's wrong, it implies that we are
dissatisfied, discontent. Whether it's
related to ourselves--a disorganized closet,
a scratch on the car, an imperfect
accomplishment, a few pounds we would like
to lose or someone else's "imperfections"
the way someone looks, behaves, or lives
their life the very act of focusing on
imperfection pulls us away from our goal of
being kind an gentle. This strategy has
nothing to do with ceasing to do your
very best but with being overly attached
and focused on what's wrong with life.
It's about realizing that while there's
always a better way to do something,
this doesn't mean that you can't enjoy
and appreciate the way things already are.
The solution here is to catch yourself
when you fall into your habit of insisting
that things should be other than they are.
Gently remind yourself that life is okay
the way it is, right now. In the absence
of your judgment, everything would be
fine. As you begin to eliminate your need
for perfection in all areas of your life,
you'll begin to discover the perfection
in life itself.

What Would Life Be
by Scott Wheeler, Sr
What would life be with out friends like thee
I'll tell you, like no longer being free.
Imagine what life would be so sad and blue
To go through life without that special you.
And I know we live so far away
Through the internet we are like castaways
Never get to touch or hug you for this I only pray
For some day I hope we can meet
To hug and laugh and dance to the beat
I know this would be a treat
For now this is all I see
Is my good friend here with me
Just think what life would be
Without friends like thee

A good friend is always kind,
Should always speak their mind,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
A good friend is there for you,
They are real, they are true- blue,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
They'll be there to share laughter,
They'll weep with you when you cry,
Their compassion should never end,
That's what it takes to be a good friend.
If a good friend you do find,
Make sure they treat you kind,
Understanding they shouldn't lack,
And they would never stab you in the back,
On top of everything always remember,
A best friend is forever.

Friendships Flower
by Helen Steiner Rice
Life is like a garden
And friendship like a flower,
That blooms and grows in beauty
With the sunshine and the shower.
And lovely are the blossoms
That are tended with great care,
By those who work unselfishly
To make the place more fair.
And, like the garden blossoms,
Friendship's flower grows more sweet
When watched and tended carefully
By those we know and meet.
And, if the seed of friendship
Is planted deep and true
And watched with understanding,
Friendship's flower will bloom for you.
